Weekly Sessions
The weekly 45-minute lunchtime classes include 10- and 20-minute relaxing guided meditations as well as interactive and humorous discussions about being mindful in everyday life. Appropriate for all experience levels.
For this 10-week series, we'll emphasize heart practices to cultivate kindness, especially kindness toward yourself. Class Dates/Times: Ten Wednesdays, 1:30-2:15pm, April 25 through June 27 of 2018. Location: Keck Building. The room will vary and will be in weekly email reminders. Clothing: Regular work attire is fine. We meditate in chairs, though you are welcome to lie down. Sharing classes: Purchases are valid for the current series only. If you don't think you'll use all your sessions, you may share them (before the series ends) with friends. You are also welcome to split a package. For example, if you purchase a 10-class package with a friend, you may decide to use 5 sessions each. |

Half Day Retreat - Mindfulness Meditation
PAST - Saturday, September 23, 2017, 1:30-4pm NAS building at 2101 Constitution Ave NW Parking: Academy staff can park on the ramp or use their Academy ID to park in the garage. The retreat includes sitting meditations in chairs (if you prefer to lie or sit on the floor, please bring appropriate props), walking meditations, and an eating meditation. Alternatives to walking meditation are available to suit participantsۥ mobility. Special clothing is not necessary, but comfortable shoes are suggested. Appropriate for all experience levels.
