About Klia Bassing, MBA, MPP
In the year 2000, out of control emotional eating sent me on a physical, spiritual, and emotional odyssey. Fast forward to today, and the urge to eat emotionally can still surface, but it's more like a kitten's mew rather than a lion's roar! I also used to see emotional eating a sign that I was shamefully faulty. Now I see it as a sign that a part of me feels overwhelmed and needs my support. I was so struck by the improvement in self-esteem and relationship with my body that I left my work at the World Bank in 2004 order to share with others what had helped me. I've since worked with thousands of people and been featured internationally by the Agence France-Presse, NBC, ABC, NPR, and The Washington Post. |

While I mainly work with individual and groups of holistic practitioners, I also lead employee wellness trainings and am on the faculty for an international certification program for mindfulness teachers.
